Rizal monument is facing at the North East
Recently, I was watching a noontime show; when the TV host asked a trivia question to his studio contestants. The question was “In which of the following directions did our famous Rizal Monument at the Luneta Park is facing at?” Therefore, he gave three possible answers to his question. The first one was something like “East-West,” “North- East,” and “South-East.”
Admittedly, I have no idea about it since I never had encounter that question never before in my entire life. Thanks to that information and I was able to add it my knowledge though it was not too significant but still I considered it as an addition.
Anyway, the answer to the question was “North-East” but I wanted to dig more on the internet if that answer was viable and correct. Therefore, I played with Google Earth and seen it that that the actual answer is correct.
Furthermore, I have also noticed that Dr. Jose Rizal’s head angled at about 45 degrees to the right that made him facing at the East direction towards to the Philippine Sea. It is nice to know things like this and the existence of such online tool like Google Earth really helps.
